The Afterlife

The Afterlife begins with a boy named Chuy. Chuy is a highschool senior, track runner, and murder vicitim. While getting ready for a dance, he decides to freshen up at a near by restroom, little does he know that this will be where his killing takes place. After Chuy complimented a boy with bright yellow shoes, he feels a shock of pain, then another, and finally one last one. He soon realizes that he has been stabbed, as he falls to the ground he watches as yellow shoes runs.

He soon leaves his body, with the question, "Now what?" As he remembers the old life he has left behind, he soon understands the new life he must face. With a new person and a new look on life, Chuy realizes that the after life may not be as frightening as he thought.

Do you think if Crystal and Chuy met when they were still alive it would have made a difference in their relationship? Why or why not?

No. God has plans for everyone and they will always be fulfilled. Chuy still would have met Crystal because God wanted them to meet.

Hmmm, tylyn, I DO think it made a difference when Chuy and Crystal met. They had both experienced a(truly) life shattering experience, and gathered a greater perspective because of it. I think it is the shared experience that defines their relationship.

I think that it may have made a difference on their relationship if they met while they were still alive. Their lives were completely different before they died, and I don't think that Crystal would have recognized Chuy the same way she did when they were dead, if she was still alive.
